生于藝術(shù)世家，從小酷愛藝術(shù)，多年來對當(dāng)代水墨的表現(xiàn)有深入研究同時對影像、電影、裝置、行為等多種媒材的實驗并取得了較大的成績備受學(xué)術(shù)界的高度評價，在國內(nèi)和國際產(chǎn)生很大的影響，有很多國內(nèi)外批評家策展人范迪安、王璜生、皮道堅、皮力、趙力、楊小彥、杭春曉、唐克揚、郭曉彥、彭德、Davi AdamBnbaker（美國）等學(xué)者研究并撰寫專論。

李綱曾參加國內(nèi)和國際有影響的雙年展、三年展（廣州三年展、臺灣關(guān)渡雙年展、威尼斯雙年展）等及大型學(xué)術(shù)性群展。在歐洲、美國、臺灣、香港及東南亞和北京、廣州、上海、西安、武漢等地區(qū)專業(yè)美術(shù)館舉辦個人展覽和學(xué)術(shù)演講。

作品被廣東美術(shù)館、廣州美術(shù)學(xué)院美術(shù)館、中央美術(shù)學(xué)院美術(shù)館、武漢美術(shù)館、何香凝美術(shù)館等專業(yè)機(jī)構(gòu)收藏。

著作由中國青年出版社、嶺南美術(shù)出版社、黑龍江美術(shù)出版社、香港書藝出版社、湖南美術(shù)出版社等國內(nèi)外出版社機(jī)構(gòu)出版發(fā)行。

Li Gang

He is a Contemporary Artist, the Distinguished Professor of CAFA International College，number of China Artists Association.

He is born in an artistic family and has loved art since he was a child. Over years, he has conducted in-depth research on the expression of contemporary ink and wash, and experimented with various media such as video, film, installation, and performance and has achieved great success, with great impact both domestically and internationally. Many national and international critics and curators such as Fan Di’an, Wang Huangsheng, Pi Daojian, Pi Li, Zhao Li, Yang Xiaoyan, Hang Chunxiao, Tang Keyang, Guo Xiaoyan, Peng De and Davi AdamBnbaker (USA) have studied and written monographs.

Li Gang has participated in influential biennials and triennial exhibitions (Guangzhou Triennial, Taiwan Guandu Biennale, Venice Biennale) and large-scale academic group exhibitions in China and internationally. He has not only held solo exhibitions and lectures in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xi’an and Wu Han, but also in Europe, United States, Taiwan and Hongkong.

His works are collected by Guangdong Museum of Art, Art Museum of GAFA, Art Museum of CAFA, Wuhan Art Museum, He Xiangning Art Museum, etc.

His works have been published by China Youth Press, Lingnan Fine Arts Press, Heilongjiang Fine Arts Press, Hong Kong Book Arts Press, Hunan Fine Arts Press, ect.
